Super chic Toni Tones has revealed that she had to come to real terms with playing the role of a younger version of fellow actress Sola Sobowale in the fantastic movie ‘King of Boys’.

Toni Tones spits truth about Sola Sobowale in King of Boys

The Nollywood actress Toni Tones says she even had to drop about 40pounds and crack her voice a bit in a bit to sound like Sola Sobowale in the movie just screened on Netflix. For her it wasn’t a straightforward process, it took some very careful planning.

She explained: “I studied Aunty Sola everyday for two months straight, so much, I saw and heard her in my dreams. Putting on weight for this role was no joke, 15kg to be exact and I still haven’t finished loosing the weight. Cracking my voice on purpose was quite dangerous to be honest especially because I’m also a musician. It took 6 weeks after shoot for my voice to go back to normal, I took this #YoungEni’s voice to my next project. I started to panick at one point because it was taking so long and I began to wander if my voice would ever go back to normal Or I had done permanent damage to it.”

“I didn’t tell a lot of people about these decisions because I didn’t want anyone to talk me out of it and the people I did tell for sure thought I was crazy. Was it worth it! Hell yes!!!!
The fact that you all recognize the work that went into this character makes it all worth it.
