Nigeria music star, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as D’Banj have been cleaning of the rape charges levied against him by model Seyitan Babatayo.

It would be recalled that D’Banj was dragged into the rape scandal after

Seyitan came out to disclose her ordeal when different rape victims spoke out

after the death of Uwaila, the young girl who was raped and killed.

Seyitan who have been in the news on different occasions have earlier accused

D’Banj of arresting her and claiming police treated her like a criminal after her arrest.

However in a twist, Seyitan Babatayo have withdrawn her case and thus D’Banj is a free man.

This latest development was made known by Stand To End Rape initiative who

released an official statement on behalf of both parties.

According to the official statement, Seyitan have withdrawn the rape allegations

against D’Banj and will not be pressing any further charges.

D’Banj will be glad he has been able to overcome the rape scandal that has cast

doubt on his integrity and status as a role model to youths in the country.

The award winning singer and songwriter was said to have lose some endorsement

deals due to the rape allegations amd it’s left to see whether he will be reinstated by brands who had withdrawn his status as an ambassador.
