African at peace as the retired chairman of union bank of Africa held meeting with Senegal president.

Tonyo who feels to work on peace and security in Africa they must be love and for a business to move they must be peace and security.

The current chairman of Heirs Holdings, and Transcorp, founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundationo was at a meeting yesterday in Dakar as he discussed this with likes of President of Senegal, President of Mauritania, Prime Minister of France.

Taking to his Instagram page, Nigerian economist Tonyo wrote about his views and how this will be effective.

He wrote :

To transform Africa, we must prioritise peace and security. Businesses cannot flourish where there is extremism and people are afraid for their lives. It will be even harder to attract the global private capital needed for large infrastructure projects and long-term investments which can help to fix our economy. I emphasised this yesterday, in Dakar, Senegal at the Dakar International Forum on peace and security with  H.E. Macky Sall, President of Senegal; H.E. Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, President of Mauritania and H.E. Édouard Philippe, Prime Minister of France. To tackle insecurity, we must tackle poverty, which is the root cause. We must do this by:
1. Prioritising our young ones by creating economic opportunities for them
2. Driving inclusive growth
3. Involving our women in the development agenda of the continent. While it is no doubt important to discuss weaponry, and other means to deal with insurgency, a lasting peace can only be attained in the long run by investing in our people across Africa
