At a time when the good tidings keep falling in place for the Black continent and African artistes, presently the high point being the huge African presence on Beyonce’s recently released album “The Gift” for the much anticipated animation remake “The Lion King” – album which featured the likes of Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Shatta Wale,  and more.

And more pleasantly, the sound of Afrobeats is now gaining more popularity than ever before. Now showing interest in the genre is Canadian Songstress, Deborah Cox. The ‘Sentimental’ hitmaker has revealed after listening to some African songs she would infuse the genre in her new albums.

Speaking on a radio interview, Deborah Cox confirmed, “I love the music here and I want the Afrobeat to stay with me and incorporate it into my other works moving forward.” She is in Ghana for Ghana World Music Festival this weekend.
