Former host of the State of Affairs show, Nana Aba Anamoah has suggested to the players of the Ghana’s senior soccer team, the Black Stars, to give out half of their bonuses to charity as a form of apology to Ghanaians over their abysmal performance in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

Nana Aba Anamoah urges Black Stars players to donate half of their bonuses to charity

Speaking on Tuesday, July 9, this year, she said the performance the team exhibited at the ongoing AFCON was quite disappointing, hence the need for the players to apologise to Ghanaians.

Nana Aba’s comment follows the team’s exit from the tournament after they (the Black Stars) were beaten by the Tunisians in a penalty shootout on Monday, July 8 at the Ismailia stadium.

The match between Tunisia and Ghana ended in a draw. However, Tunisia beat Ghana 5-4 in the penalties.

Nana Aba added that she could not stop herself from crying because Ghana lost the game. According to her, many Ghanaians would forgive the players if they donated part of their bonuses to support charity works in the country.
