COVID-19 cases will increase if lockdown is lifted – Desmond Elliot

Veteran Nollywood actor and politician, Desmond Elliot has warned the Government against lifting the lockdown on the 4th of May.

Recall that the Federal Government extended the lockdown for another week

after new cases of the virus were reported despite an initial extension of two weeks.

However, Nigerians stormed social media to make their opinion known on the

extension of the lockdown as some cited that people are hungry and need to go out

to feed their family.

Desmond Elliot who contested and won the Lagos State House of Assembly,

Surulere Constituency in April 2015 has now urged the Government to extend the

lockdown ahead of 4th of May.

The talented actor noted that with Lagos being a populated state, it will be hard for

the Government to contain the deadly virus by letting citizens start their normal

business activities.

According to the Desmond Elliot, many asymtomatic and this can increase the

spread of the virus when the lagos lockdown if lifted on May 4th.

Desmond Elliot has starred in over 200 movies ever since he rose to stardom some decades ago.

He has also produced numbers of blockbuster movies, winning himself some notable award that have earned a legendary status.

Only time will tell whether the Government will extend the lockdown date ahead of May 4th which is expected to be the end date.
