Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu have announced the arrest of four policemen who were involved in the harassment of Protesters at the state some days ago.
Lagos State which is one of the most populated city in the world have been
rocked with a lot of protest in the past few days as Nigerian youths voice out their
frustrations over the consistent police brutality in the country.
Youths have taken over different major roads across the state with protesters
sleepimg over at the protest ground just to show how furious they are.
Things however took a new turn some days ago when protesters at Surulere were
harassed by some policemen, a move that lead to the arrest and detainment
of some protesters.
Though the protesters were later released after the interference of the Governor and
some top personalities in the political world, Sanwo-Olu have given an update
about the identity of the police men who harassed protesters.
Sanwo-Olu some hours ago announced the names of 4 Police officers involved in the
harassment of Protesters at the Area C Command have been apprehended:
The names mentioned by the Governor are:
– Bagou Michael
– Ekpoudom Etop
– Nnamdi Madura
– Akinyemi Benson
