What a horrible moment for Nicki Minaj and her Family as the driver who killed her father, Robert Maraj, in a hit-and-run accident has been sentenced to one year behind bars.
The assailant, Charles Polevich was ordered to serve a one-year jail term on Wednesday after pleading guilty to the crime.
Charles pled guilty to two felony charges, which are; Leaving the scene of an incident without reporting and tampering with physical evidence.
Apart from serving a year of jail time, his driver’s license will be suspended for 6 months and he would be demanded to pay a fine of 5,000 dollars.
It can be recalled that Nicki’s father was hit by a vehicle back in February 2021 while he was walking on Long Island.
By the time the cops arrived Charles had fled the scene and tried to hide the car in a detached garage at his place.
Robert Maraj was 64 at the time of the incident and couldn’t make it due to his Injuries.
